What's included
Ground cleared, dig done, site ready
Before anything gets poured, the ground has to be stripped, dug and cleared, and the spoil has to go somewhere. We run that end of the job ourselves, with our own operators, so it happens when you need it, not whenever hired plant is free.

What "groundworks" actually covers
It's more than digging a hole. This is what's usually happening before the first concrete gets poured.
Reduced dig
Taking the site down to formation level, the depth the design needs before a sub-base or foundation goes in, not just clearing topsoil.
Sub-base & hardstanding
Compacted Type 1 MOT stone laid to give a stable base under slabs, roads and yards, graded so nothing shifts once it's loaded.
Drainage & SUDS
Land drains, soakaways and sustainable drainage measures that manage surface water on site instead of pushing it onto the road or the next-door plot.
Muckaway
Spoil classified, loaded and removed to the right facility, keeping the site clear so plant and trades can keep working.
Everything here sets up what comes next: footings going into ground that's been dug to the right level, and utility runs, chambers or culverts handled as part of our civils work where the job needs it.
