A pool shell is a reinforced concrete structure first and a swimming pool second: the same groundworks, formwork and reinforcement trades we run on every job, built to hold water instead of a floor slab.
What's included
Built like any structure that has to hold its shape
A domestic pool is excavated, formed, reinforced and poured the same way as a basement or a retaining structure, just with tighter tolerances and a waterstop detail at every joint. Because groundworks, formwork and reinforcement are all run in-house, the pool shell doesn't get passed between separate subcontractors who've never worked together before.
